The service has also been busy addressing the 71 recommendations from the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, with several initiatives still in progress. Although efforts are visible, full transformation will take time.

Inspectors are hopeful, noting that the foundations for improvement are solid. A performance management framework and a dedicated project management office are just two of the steps being taken to ensure the team delivers the highest standards of service.

Chief Fire Officer Fin Monahan is optimistic, stating, “The overall message is encouraging. We’re making positive progress and building strong foundations for sustainable growth. However, keeping up the momentum is crucial in our ongoing improvement journey.”
