ππ¨ Wild Chase Ends with Police Car Write-Off! π¨π

In a dramatic turn of events, Patrick Duggan, 51, from Bristol, led police on a high-speed chase through Abertillery, ultimately colliding with and writing off a Β£31,000 police car! ππ₯ Despite being banned from the road for over 30 years, Duggan was caught after he jumped down an embankment and attempted to hide in the brambles. But there was no escaping the determined officers and their trusty canine companion!

CCTV footage captured the hair-raising moments as Duggan brought his car to a screeching halt and reversed into the police vehicle repeatedly. The dedicated officer, who sustained neck and shoulder injuries, was forced to spend over Β£200 on physiotherapy. π₯
Duggan eventually faced the music at Cardiff Crown Court, pleading guilty to charges including dangerous driving and driving while disqualified. The court heard that Dugganβs brushes with the law date back to 1994, with 54 prior convictions, including numerous for reckless driving. πβοΈ
Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke sentenced Duggan to a year and seven months behind bars, coupled with a fresh driving ban of nearly four years. To top it off, heβs required to pay a statutory surcharge once heβs out.
This case is a stark reminder of the dangers of drink driving and reckless behaviour on our roads. Share this to raise awareness and keep our roads safe! πβ¨
