Residents in Neyland, Pembrokeshire, are voicing serious concerns about road safety after another alarming incident on Honeyborough Road. Just recently, a parked car was struck, following a narrow escape months ago when a car collided with a house.

Traffic Updates
The Neyland community group shared their worries online: “We’re on edge about speeding on Honeyborough and Kensington Roads. Cars are frequently losing mirrors and suffering scrapes. The council and police have been alerted.”

Local councillor Simon Hancock is actively pushing for measures to tackle the issue, saying: “Countless incidents have been reported. Speeding is a significant worry. We need urgent action from the police and council to enforce speed checks and introduce traffic calming measures.”

Back in February, it was sheer luck that prevented a tragedy when a car smashed into a house, marking the fifth such incident in under a decade. Simon Hancock highlighted, “This needs immediate attention. A terrible tragedy was narrowly avoided; action must be taken before it’s too late.”

The council is conducting a survey from Honeyborough Roundabout to Kensington Road, planning to propose solutions to slow traffic, and locals are eagerly awaiting these updates. Let’s hope for swift action to ensure the safety of Neyland’s streets. 🚦💬
