π€ Incredible Rescue at Sea! π¨

A heart-stopping rescue operation unfolded off the North Wales coast after a boat capsized, leaving a person clutching a cool box for hours in the chilly waters! The drama began when concerns were raised about an overdue rigid inflatable boat (RIB) near Porthmadog.

π A dedicated search was launched immediately. Criccieth RNLI volunteers, HM Coastguard, and local rescue teams were on the scene, deploying lifeboats and the Coastguard helicopter in a race against time.
π It was an off-duty crew member who first spotted the overturned vessel on a sandbank, raising the alarm and escalating the search efforts.
ποΈ After a nail-biting wait, the missing individual was found on Harlech Beach, having remarkably stayed afloat clinging to a cool box. They bravely endured more than four hours in the water before being whisked away to the hospital for urgent treatment due to severe cold-water immersion.
π€ Chris Fisher, lifeboat operations manager at Criccieth RNLI, praised the “outstanding teamwork” between all agencies involved in this challenging mission. He reminded everyone of the unforgiving nature of the sea and the importance of safety precautions.
π¦Ί A crucial message for seafarers: wear a lifejacket, use engine kill cords, carry a reliable communication device, and always inform someone ashore about your journey.
πͺ Huge thanks to all the brave volunteers and rescuers who ensured this dramatic incident ended safely. A true testament to the power of teamwork and resilience!
Stay safe, stay informed, and donβt forget to share this heroic story! πβ¨
