🌟 Get ready for a cheeky celebration in Colwyn Bay! 🏖️

A new statue of the much-loved Monty Python legend Terry Jones, baring all as the Nude Organist, is set to be unveiled on April 25th. This seafront spectacle will see comedy greats Sir Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam at the helm, celebrating their dear friend in the town he cherished. 🎭🇬🇧

Fans raised £120,000, including a special boost from Eddie Izzard, to bring this playful tribute to life. Sculptor Nick Elphick has creatively captured Terry’s “wonderfully generous bottom,” ensuring beachgoers will always remember his comedic legacy. 🍑🎶
Don’t miss this lively event on the Colwyn Bay promenade, where the Python On The Prom ceremony promises fun galore! Expect a recreation of the iconic Spam Cafe set, a Silly Olympics, and even marauding knights and squires. 🎉🏅
Terry’s daughter, Sally Jones, shared her excitement: “We want this celebration to reflect Dad’s eclectic interests, from his enchanting children’s books to his love of medieval history, which inspired so much of Python.”
Sir Michael added a humorous touch: “Sitting stark naked apart from a tie on Colwyn Bay promenade, in all weathers, is the ultimate tribute to Terry’s comedic dedication. May his generous bottom become an emblem of this beloved town.” 😂🥳
Join us in honouring Terry Jones, who brought joy to so many and left an indelible mark on Colwyn Bay, where it all began. 🏰📚
