🚧 Update for all travellers and locals! 🚧

After a few nail-biting days, the iconic Menai Suspension Bridge is set to welcome vehicles and pedestrians once more, but with a twist. ☀️ From 7am to 7pm, you can cross this historic wonder, but come nightfall, it’ll be lights out and closed for everyone. Yes, it means those evening drive plans might need a rethink!

Why the sudden fuss, you ask? Inspections revealed degraded bolts beneath the bridge. Safety first, right? The Welsh Government is on the ball, working hand-in-hand with UK Highways to make sure we can get from Anglesey to the mainland with minimal fuss. 🚗🚴♀️
For now, hold that heavy load! Vehicles over 3 tonnes still need to stick with the trusty Britannia Bridge for their journeys. Most cars will be fine, but big vans and trucks, take care to check!
A shout-out to our incredible emergency crews: there’s special access planned if ambulances can’t use Britannia Bridge. 💪
Work is ongoing to fix those sneaky bolts, and trust us, they’re on it! Patience is the name of the game, and everyone appreciates your understanding.
Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as these repairs progress. Thank you for your patience, and stay safe out there! 🌉
