A tragic incident has shaken the community of Abergavenny. 24-year-old Idris Squires, cherished by all who knew him, has sadly passed away after sustaining life-threatening injuries. Described by his family as a “kind, loving, and warm individual,” Idris was known for his immense generosity and his instinct to help others. He even chose to be an organ donor, a testament to his selflessness and compassion.
Liam Bennett, aged 27, has been charged with Idris’s murder following the incident on Old Hereford Road in the early hours of May 15th. Bennett appeared at Cardiff Crown Court, with his trial set to start on November 16th. In the meantime, he remains in custody.
