🚁🌊 Drama unfolded at the stunning Cornish coast, as two adventurers found themselves stuck halfway up a cliff at Pentire Steps, Bedruthan! 🌟 With the sun setting on a breathtaking landscape, their scenic outing quickly turned into a nail-biting four-hour rescue operation by the heroic coastguard teams from Newquay, Padstow, and Polzeath.

When a winch rescue was ruled out due to tricky terrain, the coastguards sprang into action with a daring rope rescue. Carefully navigating loose rock and slate, two technicians skillfully reached the stranded pair. After securing them safely, all were gradually lowered to the beach below, where they were whisked away by helicopter to safety. 🙌🚁

This picturesque spot, nestled just north of the enchanting Bedruthan Steps, is no stranger to adventurous visitors. Yet, its wild beauty hides perilous pathways and dicey drop-offs that can test even the most experienced explorers. The National Trust continues to advise visitors to tread carefully, as strong currents and rockfalls pose ongoing risks.

Despite the challenges, the allure of Cornwall’s dramatic coastline remains as strong as ever. One visitor recently gushed online, “Easily one of the most beautiful places in the UK and Europe. Worth every bit of the journey, even if it’s a long drive!” 🌅🏞️
Nature lovers, please take heed: the area’s pathways and cliffs require respect and caution. While the beauty is undeniable, safety always comes first! ❤️
