⚠️ Mid-Air Drama on easyJet Flight! ⚠️

Passengers aboard an easyJet flight had an unexpected twist during their journey from the Isle of Man to Liverpool yesterday. Just as excitement for landing was building, the crew announced a change of plans due to an airborne emergency!

The drama unfolded as the plane approached Liverpool John Lennon Airport. With an aircraft obstructing the runway, the crew had to perform a ‘go-around’—an aborted landing manoeuvre. These can happen for several reasons and account for unexpected situations or adjustments.
As things got tense, the plane circled at 6,000 feet near Liverpool, and the flight crew triggered a Squawk 7700 – an international distress signal. This signal ensures the aircraft gets priority and guides it safely. Thanks to the swift work of air traffic control, the flight was rerouted to Manchester Airport, offering longer runways and top-notch emergency response.
Manchester Airport emergency crews were ready and waiting, following the standard procedure for unplanned emergency landings. Happy news for everyone involved: the Airbus A319 touched down safely at Manchester by 4:05 pm. 🎉
easyJet is currently reviewing the event, and everyone’s relieved that the passengers and crew are safe!
