Tragic Loss of Beloved Officer Rehaan Akhtar 💔
We’re heartbroken to share the devastating news about Rehaan Akhtar, a respected officer from South Wales who was found dead after a night out with friends in Bristol. Only 28, Rehaan had already made a significant impact in his community, serving with pride and dedication.
Last seen near the Arnolfini, he was the subject of a missing persons search, which ended tragically with the discovery of his body. He joined the Cardiff force in 2021 and later became a constable in Swansea. His commitment to his duty was nothing short of inspiring, and his absence will be deeply felt by colleagues and everyone who knew him.
Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan expressed his shock and sadness, saying, “Rehaan served with pride and professionalism. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.”
Rehaan was also a passionate footballer for Llanelli-based Calsonic Kansei Swiss Valley (CKSV). His teammates remember him as a friend filled with positivity and determination. “He was a committed player and a valued presence both on and off the pitch,” a CKSV spokesperson shared.
Our thoughts are with Rehaan’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him during this difficult time. His legacy will live on in the memories and hearts of the lives he touched. 🌟
