European Team Roars with Laughter as Keegan Bradley Pleads for Ryder Cup Rule Adjustment

Team Europe shared a hearty laugh this week, reacting to Team USA captain Keegan Bradley’s plea for a Ryder Cup rule shake-up. Bradley was vocal about his discontent with the current “envelope rule” after European ace Viktor Hovland had to bow out due to a neck injury. Despite Hovland’s exit, both teams ended up splitting a point, much to the frustration of the American side.

Bradley didn’t hold back during a media briefing, insisting the rule needs an overhaul: “I have a few ideas, but I’m not sharing them just yet. It’s clear to everyone that the rule needs to change.”

However, when Bradley’s comments were shared with Team Europe, they found it rather amusing. European captain Luke Donald reminded everyone that this rule has been around since 1971, pointing out its previous use to mutual benefit. “Both sides have played by this rule before,” he noted, brushing aside Bradley’s request.

Hovland himself expressed heartbreak over not being able to compete, saying, “I’d give anything to be out there helping my team.”

With this year’s Ryder Cup resulting in a 16.5 to 11.5 victory for Team Europe, the Americans will have to wait until 2027 for another shot at reclaiming glory at Adare Manor in Ireland. Will the rule stay or go? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more Ryder Cup drama! β›³οΈπŸŒπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί
