Here’s a heartfelt update on the funeral procession for boxing legend Ricky Hatton. The family has mapped out a route that truly captures the spirit and favourite places of the beloved former world welterweight champion. Starting at the Cheshire Cheese pub in Hyde on Friday, October 10, the procession will weave through locations close to Ricky’s heart, such as Harehill Tavern, Hatton’s Gym, Hyde Town Hall, and the AO Arena.

A moving procession is planned with doves being released at The New Inn. After a private memorial service at Manchester Cathedral, the cortege will conclude at the Etihad Stadium, the cherished home ground of Manchester City. It’s an opportunity for fans and well-wishers to line the streets and pay their final respects as Ricky makes his way through the places he loved.

In honour of Ricky’s passion for mental health advocacy, there’s a special initiative to support Andy’s Man Club and the Campaign Against Living Miserably. These charities work tirelessly on men’s mental health, a cause close to Ricky’s heart.
Let’s unite to celebrate Ricky’s incredible life and legacy. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. #RIPRickyHatton 🌹🥊
