Caught in the act and nailed by the law! William Alcock from Newport will be spending the next five years and eight months behind bars after getting caught red-handed during a drug exchange. The 30-year-old didn’t just have bad luck on the street but at home as well. A search of his property revealed £4,720 in cash, an e-bike, and a stash of heroin and crack cocaine worth £3,550.

Gwent Police’s Serious Organised Crime unit swooped in and seized two burner phones showcasing active drug lines and £300 in cash from Alcock when he was apprehended in August. Talk about a double whammy!

Gwent Police emphasised the importance of community support in tackling illegal drugs, stating, “Illegal drugs have no place in our community. Our officers are constantly patrolling to identify and get rid of those spreading such misery.”
