🏉 Exciting Times Ahead for Wales Women’s Rugby! 🏉
The countdown is on as head coach Sean Lynn names a fresh-faced squad for the 2026 Women’s Six Nations! With a mix of seasoned pros and promising newbies, this year’s team is all set to dazzle. Why’s this exciting? Lynn has called up NINE uncapped players eager to make their mark on the international scene. 🌟
Leading the charge, flanker Kate Williams steps up as captain, ready to steer the team with grit and passion. Unfortunately, star Alex Callender misses out due to an ankle injury, alongside the injured Nel Metcalfe. Farewell to backs Kerin Lake and Robyn Wilkins who have hung up their boots post-World Cup.
This revamped 38-player squad is buzzing with potential! New talents like props Stella Orrin and Elan Jones, and wings Nikita Prothero and Seren Singleton, are set to light up the pitch. The inclusion of seasoned players like Alisha Joyce, post-maternity break, adds experience and motivation to the mix.
Lynn is on a mission: “It’s a fresh start. With a new World Cup cycle, we’re focusing on nurturing young Welsh talent who’ve shown hunger and determination.” It’s all about blending experience with new skills for a future-ready team.
The journey starts with a gripping match against Scotland at the Principality Stadium on 11th April. Let’s cheer them on and watch them rise! 🏆
