Jenna De Vera’s rugby journey to the Wales Women’s team began with a funny twist! πβοΈ Her dad, thinking Carmarthenshire was just a street in London, landed them in West Wales instead. Fast forward 22 years, and Jenna, a proud Welsh-born Filipino, is shining as one of nine new faces in Sean Lynn’s Six Nations squad. π

From a childhood filled with rugby games and her mumβs delicious noodle and spring roll feasts for teammates, Jenna has embraced her unique heritage. Despite a tough ACL injury, she’s back on the field, ready to represent Wales at the highest level. ππ½πΌ Balancing her Masters in Film and TV with her rugby career, she shows us all that determination knows no bounds. With her dissertation due right in the middle of the Six Nations, she’s got her hands full, but Jenna’s got a strong support system with the squad. ππ

As she gears up for the tournament, Jenna is excited about a fresh start under coach Sean Lynn and the chance to build something special with her fellow uncapped teammates. With dreams of pushing Welsh rugby forward, sheβs ready to give back to the communities that shaped her. ππͺ
Can’t wait to see her and the team in action against Scotland at the Principality Stadium on April 11! πποΈ Drop a comment to wish Jenna and the team good luck! π΄π #WalesRugby #JennaDeVera #SixNations
