🚗 **Parking Woes in Cardiff: Residents Frustrated!**

Residents of Moorland Road in Splott, Cardiff, are at their wits’ end due to severe parking shortages. With a bustling local school, neighbours claim the problem has worsened, leaving them with little to no space outside their homes. 😡

Ian Watkins, a local resident, expressed his frustration, stating, “Parking is horrendous here. There’s a new car park at the school, but not everyone seems to use it. My neighbours and I, especially those with mobility issues, struggle a lot.”
Rebecca Wise, another resident, added, “It’s ridiculous. Staff park throughout the day, and during school drop-off and pickup times, it’s chaos! The street’s public, but it feels unfair when we can’t park near our own homes.”
Limited parking is exacerbated by yellow zig-zag lines and disabled bays. 📏🚫
In response, the school and Cardiff Council explained that both front and rear car parks at the school are actively used. The rear car park is crucial for disabled spaces and essential drop-offs, while the front is for staff. The school promotes sustainable travel and encourages responsible parking.
They stated, “We value our relationship with local residents and strive to address these concerns while ensuring the school operates safely.”
