Heartbreak has struck a family and community as we mourn the tragic loss of 16-year-old Lillianna Tomlinson, who sadly passed away in the River Tame during the bank holiday’s scorching heatwave.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Bodymoor Heath Lane in Kingsbury but were unable to save Lillianna after she got into difficulty in the water. Despite their swift action, her life was tragically cut short, leaving her family devastated.

In a heartfelt tribute, Lillianna’s family expressed their profound sorrow: “Our family is completely devastated and will be forever heartbroken. The love and support from our community means more than words can express.” They have also asked for privacy as they navigate through this incredibly challenging time.
