A cautionary tale for anyone considering surgery abroad! Kayleigh Mckenna, 35, flew to Turkey with the hopes that a nose job and breast reduction would be a dream come true. Instead, it quickly turned into a nightmare. After a ‘botched’ £4,500 nose operation, Kayleigh says she’s been left with a ‘collapsed and wonky’ nostril that can’t function properly. “Devastated and traumatised” is how she describes feeling now.

Kayleigh began her journey to fix a deviated septum and boost her confidence, but instead, she had to endure a ten-hour surgery that was meant to last seven. Post-op horror didn’t end there—blood circulation issues arose and she had to have an unexpected blood clot removal. Despite all her research, Kayleigh returned home only to learn her septum was still deviated. Now, she must decide between an expensive private op or an uncertain NHS procedure.

Feeling “piggified” and reliant on nasal spray just to breathe, she shares her story to warn others. Her advice? “Pay that extra and get it done in your own country.” The experience has severely impacted her mental health and Kayleigh vows never to return to Turkey. She urges everyone to think carefully before opting for medical tourism at alluringly low prices abroad. An offer too good to be true might just be exactly that!
