Soham killer Ian Huntley has reportedly been declared blind after a brutal prison attack that has left him fighting for his life. The 52-year-old was rushed to hospital from HMP Frankland in County Durham, where insiders say he was found in a pool of blood. Medical teams have been working tirelessly, with some saying it’s a miracle he’s still alive.

If Huntley does survive, plans are in place to transfer him to a high-security hospital in Merseyside, due to the severity of his head injuries. Reports have given him just a 5% chance of survival, and sources claim it may be only days or weeks before the inevitable happens.

Emergency services responded to the February 26 attack swiftly, and he was transported under high security with armed police escorting the ambulance. Doctors placed him in an induced coma to stabilise his condition, but sources suggest he is unlikely to regain consciousness.
Huntley, who is serving a life sentence for the 2002 murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, was not due for parole until at least 2042. Despite efforts by emergency teams, it seems time may be running out for him.
A spokesperson from Durham Constabulary confirmed his condition remains serious, with armed officers continuously guarding him at the hospital. This situation continues to develop, with many feeling it’s only a matter of time.
