Heartless Family Swindles Innocent Man, Leaving Him Penniless – Forced to Return Mere Ten Pounds of Stolen Fortune

In a shocking case of fraud, a family scammed a vulnerable man out of over £70,000, but one of them only has to pay back a mere £10. Charlotte Cassidy, 29, along with her brother Michael and father William, preyed on Paul William Lambert, who had health issues and an alcohol addiction. The family, running a business named Fix A Drive in Cardiff, met Lambert after he hired them for improvements at his Bridgend home. Despite a quoted job cost of £18,000, they delivered poor and worthless work, escalating payment demands and even trying to manipulate Lambert to buy a Rolex for Charlotte.

What’s more disturbing, they gave him a sleeping pill and used fake representation to withdraw money from his pension. Tragically, Lambert’s health deteriorated, resulting in his untimely death at 61 due to aggravated liver cirrhosis. His family believes the Cassidys had a role in his worsening condition.

The deceit didn’t stop with Lambert. Another couple in Ogmore-by-Sea was also left with unfinished work and intimidating demands after employing Fix A Drive. The Cassidys pressured the couple with excessive charges and threats, leaving them feeling blackmailed and intimidated.
