🚗💥 Over 30,000 drivers caught exceeding speed limits last year, an astonishing revelation that poses serious road safety concerns! From speeding past schools to racing down motorways, some motorists took dangerous risks. One driver was shockingly clocked at 114mph near a primary school in Leicestershire. In another jaw-dropping incident, someone hit 161mph on the M6!
The RAC obtained these unsettling figures through Freedom of Information requests, highlighting reckless speeds on roads where pedestrians and cyclists are present. Of the data gathered from 28 police forces, over 32,500 drivers were found to be speeding 30mph or more in 20mph zones—defying legal limits by at least 50%!
