Jake Paul is on the mend after a tough bout against Anthony Joshua left him with a broken jaw. This weekend’s fight in Miami ended in the sixth round when Joshua’s knockout punch brought it to a halt. Paul’s jaw needed surgery, leaving him sipping meals through a straw for the week to come.
Sharing updates on social media, Jake expressed gratitude for the love and support: “Just got out of surgery. Everything went smooth. Lots of pain and stiffness. Gotta eat liquids for 7 days.” The surgery involved fitting two titanium plates on both sides of his jaw and losing a few teeth in the process. Despite the ordeal, Jake’s spirits seem high, even dropping a cheeky challenge: “Double broken jaw. Give me Canelo in 10 days.”

Not one to stay down for long, Jake’s already looking towards his next move. Although he missed the post-fight press conference, his promoter assured fans he’s doing alright and recovery is expected to take four to six weeks. Paul remains enthusiastic about boxing, sharing: “I’m feeling good, that was fun. I love this sport… I had a blast. Anthony’s a great fighter, I got my ass beat, but that’s what this sport’s about.”

For now, Jake’s taking a short break after a grueling six-year run, while Anthony Joshua is eager for his next challenge, eyeing up a clash with Tyson Fury. No doubt, the boxing world will be watching closely for what comes next. 💥🥊 Keep recovering, Jake!
