Legendary rugby star Kevin Sinfield made an inspiring stop in Swansea as he took on the fourth leg of his incredible seven ultra-marathons in just seven days! πͺ This gruelling challenge is all in honour of his mate and fellow rugby hero, Rob Burrow, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2019.
Kevin’s mission? Raise awareness and funds for MND research – over Β£10 million raised so far! Every run takes him to a place he’s never run before, and Swansea was buzzing with excitement and support as he set off. Fans filled the Swansea.com Stadium, cheerfully singing, and Kevin joined BBC Breakfast to share his motivation.

In high spirits, Kevin said: “It’s not about the speed; we’ll be pretty slow, to be honest. But we’re doing it together, smiling and supporting each other with the belief that we’ll crack this!” He thanked the crowd for turning up and showing such incredible support, emphasising the power of community and the importance of standing by one another. π
Next up, Kevin’s heading to Sheffield, with the grand finale from York to Leeds. Letβs cheer him on as he continues this extraordinary journey to help fight MND. Together, we really can make a difference! π
