🚨 Helicopter Drama in Cardiff! 🚁
Last night, the usually calm Cathays area near Cardiff city centre turned into a scene straight out of a thriller! Around 12:45 am, residents were startled awake as police cars sped through the streets and a helicopter hovered above. 🚓🔦
Officers were responding to reports of a large fight on Rhymney Street. Eyewitnesses spotted multiple police vehicles darting through the neighbourhood, with three seen racing along Salisbury Road. The unexpected aerial spectacle added a mix of confusion and concern for the local community and students alike.
South Wales Police have confirmed they’ve attended the scene but, as yet, no arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing, and they’re urging anyone with information to come forward by calling 101.
Cathays, known for its vibrant student life and strong sense of community, is usually a lively but safe haven. Despite some grumbles about overflowing bins and a notorious rat problem, locals and students alike feel secure, thanks to the supportive atmosphere and friendly vibe.
Stay safe and keep your eyes peeled, Cardiff! 📞👀
