🎸 Heartbreaking news in the rock world: Scott Sorry, the talented bassist known for his time with The Wildhearts, has sadly passed away on his 47th birthday, after a valiant battle with brain cancer. 💔

Scott, whose real name was Gerard Scott, courageously fought glioblastoma since his diagnosis in 2018. Defying odds, he turned what doctors predicted as months into years, and even managed to embark on a UK tour in 2022. The tour was a meaningful moment for him and his fans, making memories that will last forever.
Scott was known for his strength, humour, and immense heart, qualities that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His family shared a poignant message: “We’re heartbroken but take comfort in knowing he’s finally free from pain.”

Before his time with The Wildhearts, Scott rocked stages with LA punk outfit Amen and collaborated with Brides Of Destruction, featuring members from renowned bands. With The Wildhearts, he played a key role in creating three brilliant albums that showcased his musical prowess.
Scott leaves behind his loving wife Hanni and their three beautiful children, River, Ryder, and Rörik. Our thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time. 💔
Let’s remember Scott not just for his incredible music, but for the fighter and friend he was to so many.
Rest in power, Scott. 🎶✨
