β οΈ Llanelli Takeaway Busted for Illegal Workers – Twice in Five Months! β οΈ

Shocking scenes in Llanelli as a local takeaway, All In One, has been flagged for illegal workers not once, but twice, in just five months! ππ Immigration officers first discovered an illegal worker in February 2025, pretending he was simply preparing food for himself. But CCTV footage told a different story – he was cooking and serving customers! πΈ

The takeaway’s former owner, Haci Ali Turkmen, faced an Β£80,000 fine and now the premises licence has been revoked by Carmarthenshire Council. The late-night licence allowed the takeaway to operate until 3.30am on weekends, but with no transfer to the new owner, itβs game over for late-night munchies. π

On a follow-up visit in July, more illegal workers were found, all claiming ties to Mr. Turkmen and revealing their unlawful entry into the UK. π It seems the right checks weren’t done, and assumptions about work permissions led to some hefty consequences.
While Mr. Turkmen has since sold the business, there was a plea to hold onto the licence for the new owner’s sake, but no dice. The council stood firm, emphasising the importance of following the proper right-to-work protocols.
It’s a stark reminder of the importance of complying with immigration laws and performing due diligence when it comes to employment. The council’s decision reflects the need to protect lawful businesses and workers.
