Man Sentenced to Prison After Two Decades of Selling Illegally Obtained Milk to Locals

Police caught up with Tarling, discovering the stolen items in his possession, despite his claims of just finding them on the street. A past dotted with convictions dating back to 2002, including robbery, aggravated burglary, and possession with intent to supply heroin, showed a long history of criminal activity primarily driven by his substance addiction.

The judge was not swayed by Tarling’s supposed remorse, labelling him as an entrenched addict who poses a continuous threat to his neighbours. Tarling now faces 30 months and an additional 24 weeks in prison, following a breach of a prior suspended sentence. Although he is attempting to turn things around in custody, gaining education and focusing on addiction recovery, the judgment delivered a stern reminder of the need to protect communities from his repeated offences.

Rehabilitation efforts aside, many hope this latest sentencing marks a turning point for Tarling, and a chance for the community to breathe a sigh of relief.
