🏉 Big Changes Ahead in Welsh Rugby! 🏉
As the United Rugby Championship season wraps up, a big shake-up is happening across Wales’ rugby scene! Cardiff, Dragons, Ospreys, and Scarlets have each announced major departures, with a total of 32 players bidding farewell to their clubs.
Cardiff is waving goodbye to 11 players, most notably the legendary Leigh Halfpenny, who is retiring at 37. Wales prop Corey Domachowski is also moving on to join the Scarlets after nearly a decade with Cardiff.
The Dragons face a significant loss as Aaron Wainwright, one of Wales’ standout stars from the Six Nations, heads to Leicester Tigers. Long-time fan favourite James Benjamin is also retiring after 13 solid seasons.
Ospreys are feeling the pinch the most, as Wales stars Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake join Gloucester. Their departure, alongside others like Jack Walsh, signals a fresh chapter for the club.
Scarlets fans will see some beloved players moving on, with Tom Rogers joining the Ospreys and Springbok hooker Marnus van der Merwe heading to Munster. Max Douglas, a versatile forward, is also off to Japan.
Catch these players in action one last time as we wrap up an exciting season! Stay tuned for more updates as Welsh rugby takes on new beginnings! 💪 #WelshRugby #TeamWa
