🌞 Ready for more sun, UK? 🌞

We’ve just witnessed a heatwave that smashed 140-year records, with Wales enjoying its warmest spring since 1884! Last week’s temperatures sizzled, reaching above 30°C for six consecutive days in parts of the UK. But don’t stash those fans away yet! More heat is on the horizon as summer kicks into gear. 🌡️🔥

According to the Met Office, we’re set for a mix of weather in June. Expect some rain and thunderstorms, especially in the south, but also prepare for rising temperatures. By the end of the month, things might just get sizzling again. Stay cool, folks!

It’s not just the heat that’s making history. Rainfall has decreased by 14% compared to the long-term average, and experts point out that breaking the 32.8°C May record has become three times more likely due to climate change. 🌍
Met Office’s Dr Emily Carlisle highlights this as a sign of “longer-term warming” and notes that extreme weather is becoming more frequent.
So, whether you’re sunbathing or umbrella-ready, keep an eye on the ever-changing skies and let’s make the most of whatever weather comes our way! ☀️⛈️
