π¨ Shocking Hygiene Breach in Tonypandy! π¨

Bins were overflowing outside a shocking shop in Tonypandy serving up burgers and hotdogs without a working fridge. The owner, Veliah Muraleethara, was caught running not one, but THREE food establishments with appalling hygiene standards.
The kitchen at Sherwood Stores was found to be in such a state that it posed a “significant risk to the public,” according to the council. No sink in sight, broken fridges trying to store ‘high risk’ foods, and dirty conditions that make your stomach churn! π·

Cooking without temperature checks, no food hygiene training for staff, and stockpiling waste around the premises were just a few of the shocking findings revealed during the council inspection. This led to a strict prohibition from operating any food business in Wales!
Councillor Bob Harris emphasised the dire need for keeping up with food hygiene standards: “If a shop sells food in our County Borough, they have a responsibility to ensure the goods they sell are safe for customers to consume.”
This eye-opening case sends a strong message: fail to comply with food safety regulations, and you will face serious consequences. Protecting the health and wellbeing of residents and visitors is a priority, and this shop fell far short. Letβs all support clean and safe food outlets for the sake of our community! π½οΈπ¨βπ©βπ¦
