🔒 Flat Boarded Up in Newport After Anti-Social Behaviour Reports!

A flat in Hopkins Walk, Ringland, Newport has been sealed off after locals raised the alarm over anti-social antics. Gwent Police and housing association Hedyn jumped into action, securing a closure order from Newport Magistrates’ Court. The result? Residents at the troubled property have been asked to move elsewhere for a fresh start.

PC Leanne Pole shared, “Residents weren’t feeling comfortable in their own homes due to ongoing issues. This closure is a testament to our dedication to tackling such concerns and ensuring communities feel safe.”
Justin Wigmore from Hedyn added, “A safe home is a basic right. We’re grateful for the community’s voices which helped us action this.”
This closure order is effective until 2nd June, and anyone trying to re-enter the flat will be in violation of the law.
