Get ready, Cardiff! Monster Jam is revving back into town this weekend with more excitement than ever before. If you’re a fan of monster trucks and high-octane stunts, the Principality Stadium is THE place to be this Saturday, May 16th. Expect an action-packed day as fearless drivers take the wheel of massive 12,000-pound trucks, delivering a thrilling spectacle of speed, precision, and jaw-dropping tricks.
This year’s event is extra special with the UK debut of Sparkle Smash, the unicorn-themed truck that’s turning heads with its vibrant personality and competitive spirit. Fans can look forward to stunning stunts, from gravity-defying jumps to high-speed duels, all featuring a top-tier line-up of male and female drivers in competitions like Racing, Skills, and the ever-popular Freestyle showdown.
Before the main event kicks off, join the Pit Party from 10am to 1pm. It’s your chance to get up close with the mighty trucks, snap selfies with your favourite drivers, and enjoy loads of family-friendly activities. Gates for the main event open at 1:30pm, with the monster madness starting at 3pm.
But remember, Cardiff will be experiencing some road closures from 11am to 7:30pm, so plan your journey accordingly. Westgate Street, Quay Street, and a few more will be affected. For parking, options like the Civic Centre and Sophia Gardens are available, but note it’s £20 for cars and £30 for coaches.
Coming by public transport? City centre bus services will be redirected, and National Express coaches will operate from Sophia Gardens. Cyclists and pedestrians are advised to take advantage of cycle paths, with Cardiff’s compact size making it easy to navigate.
Don’t forget, there’s a no re-entry policy once you leave the Pit Party or main event, so make the most of your time there. Follow the entry guidelines closely, especially with the new automatic turnstiles at the stadium, to ensure smooth access. Most importantly, enjoy an explosive day of Monster Jam action and grab your spot for one of Cardiff’s most thrilling weekends of the year! 🚚💥
