Exciting times ahead for Aberavon’s seafront! 🌊🚴♂️🏄♀️ Big plans are in the works for a major transformation, bringing dedicated cycle routes, a chic restaurant, a skate park, and much more to this beautiful 4.7km stretch. Neath Port Talbot Council is keen to hear your thoughts as they open up a public consultation.

The transformation aims to better connect the seafront to the National Cycle Network Route 4, offering continuous paths for both bikers and walkers. Streets like Solar Way and Princess Margaret Way could see a facelift with new dedicated cycle lanes and repaved roads and footpaths.

But that’s not all! This transformation is also part of a larger goal to regenerate the area. Imagine a vibrant new wellness garden, play spaces, and eateries popping up around the seafront. Plans for a new Naval Club as a posh destination restaurant, and a Dunes Park created from snazzy boardwalks, are also on the table.
Though there’s currently no funding locked in, having these strategic plans could make it easier to secure finances in the future.
The council is eager to gather your feedback on these ambitious plans through an online survey open until March 11. Plus, you can swing by one of the face-to-face events at Aberavon Leisure Centre on March 2 and March 7 to share your voice!
Stay tuned for updates, and get involved in shaping the future of our beloved seafront! ✨📢
