๐ดโโ๏ธโ ๏ธ Chaos in Cardiff!

Residents of Gabalfa are raising alarms over unruly youths on e-bikes and motorbikes. The local community describes scenes straight out of a movie – riders zipping through streets, ignoring traffic rules, and sometimes taunting the police! ๐ฒ

๐ The hotspot seems to be Gabalfa Avenue along with Aberporth Road, Waterston Road, and Cathedral View. Authorities have stepped up with a dispersal order giving officers extra power to push back against this wave of anti-social behaviour. The order began on Tuesday and will last for two days, with arrests possible for those who defy it.

๐ฎโโ๏ธ South Wales Police are prioritising action on drug dealing, anti-social behaviour, and e-bike theft. But residents like local Andrew are worried this might not be enough, mentioning the stress on police resources and the fright caused by late-night bike gangs.
๐ฉโ๐ฆโ๐ฆ One resident voiced her anxiety: “Theyโre reckless on roads and fields. It’s upsetting to see them putting kids and older residents at risk.”
On a brighter note, a local business owner shared a silver lining. Thanks to recently-installed CCTV, he reports a calmer atmosphere around his shop, with fewer disturbances.
Can the new measures restore peace, or is more action needed to tackle this two-wheeled trouble? ๐ค๐ Let’s hope for a safer Gabalfa soon!
