🏉 Tough times for Welsh Rugby 🏉

Wales faced an overwhelming defeat, losing 54-12 to France in front of the lowest Six Nations crowd ever at the Principality Stadium. Once upon a time, tickets for these matches were as valuable as gold, but things have drastically changed due to ongoing struggles on and off the field.

The decision to potentially cut one of Wales’ four professional clubs is hot on everyone’s lips, with Ospreys feared to be the target. But the real dilemma? Fans just aren’t willing to splash out to watch a team that seems to stand no chance of victory against rugby giants like France.

It’s not all downhill though. We’ve got some promising young talent in the U20s squad, but it’s a long road before they’ll be ready to step up to the international stage. Right now, we’ve got our sights set on overcoming Italy, marking it as a must-win last match of the championship.
The absence of a full-time defence coach has left Steve Tandy’s side in a precarious position, conceding a staggering 302 points over six matches. However, despite the hardships, glimmers of improvement were seen during the match, notably in discipline and set-pieces.
We’re longing for a comeback, inspired by legends like Sir Gareth Edwards who received the biggest cheer, reminding us of better days. But, until changes are made, it might be a while before we can rival top-tier teams again. Let’s hope the upcoming fixtures bring brighter prospects and that our team finds the strength to rise again. Come on, Wales! 🌟
