π¨οΈ Brace yourselves, Wales! The Met Office has warned we’re in for a snowy surprise. A yellow weather warning for snow and ice blankets parts of Wales from noon on Wednesday to midnight Thursday. π¬οΈ

Snow is expected to fall especially in the picturesque regions of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Swansea. βοΈ The chill is rolling in with cold Arctic air, bringing the first shiver of winter. So if you’re in any of these areas, prepare for a magical white landscape and some chilly challenges. Winter’s definitely making an entrance!

Areas could see snow accumulations of up to 10 cm in spots, particularly on hills above 200m in Pembrokeshire and west Carmarthenshire. But don’t let the snowflakes fool you, the accompanying ice could make pavements, cycle paths, and roads rather slippery. π₯Ά

Expect potential delays or cancellations in bus and train services, and keep an eye out for any road closures. There might be a few slippery patches, so walk with care to avoid a tumble! πΆββοΈ
Our trusty ‘Pembrokeshire Dangler’ could bring heavy snow showers on Wednesday. Keep warm and carry on, but do stay safe! With gusty winds and hail also likely, it sounds like a true winter adventure is on its way. π¨οΈ
Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern explains: “The winds funnel across the Irish Sea, leaving a line of showers into Pembrokeshire.” Chief Forecaster Neil Armstrong also chimed in, pointing out that cold Arctic air is well in charge, giving us a taste of winter and some brisk northerly winds!
So, make sure your cosy jumpers and wellies are at the ready! There might be some power cuts too, which could affect mobile service, so keep those phones charged. Stay safe, stay bundled up, and enjoy the first wintry wonder of the season! βοΈπ²
