📢 Attention travellers! Big news from Cardiff! Starting at the end of this summer, tourists will need to shell out a bit more to enjoy an overnight stay in the capital. 🏙️ That’s right, Cardiff is gearing up to implement a Visitor Levy—making it the first in Wales to do so.
Here’s the deal: when booking from September 28 onwards, visitors will be charged either 75p or ÂŁ1.30 per person per night, depending on where you stay. 🛏️ This small fee applies to everyone who bunkers down in hotels, cosy B&Bs, self-catering lets, and even campgrounds.
Why the extra charge, you ask? The funds generated—estimated at a whopping £3.5 million a year—will be reinvested into boosting the Welsh tourism experience, making it even more enchanting for future visits. 🌟
