🌟 It’s Election Day, Wales! 🌟
The big day has arrived as polling stations across Wales open at 7am today for the 2026 Senedd Election! 🗳️ With polls open until 10pm tonight, make sure you head out and have your say in shaping the future of our Welsh Parliament!
This election marks a significant change as we welcome an expanded Senedd, growing from 60 to 96 members, along with a fresh voting system. Instead of first-past-the-post, we’ll be adopting proportional representation this year, ensuring a fairer outcome for all. 📈
Not only that, but your usual constituencies have also evolved, with the 32 Westminster constituencies now merged into 16, complete with new Welsh language names to celebrate our heritage! 🌿
With 2.3 million registered voters in Wales, you have the power to influence this historic shift and potentially end over a century of Labour dominance. 🗺️ Let’s make history together, folks!
Stay tuned throughout the day for live updates, results, and reactions as we bring you all the latest from across the nation. Let’s be part of this new chapter in Welsh history together!
Happy voting, everyone! 🎉
