🎉 Big news for Swansea City fans! 🎉

Swansea City FC is one step closer to snapping up the Swansea.com Stadium! Council leaders have green-lit the sale, saying it’s for more than “fair open-market value.” This major move is expected to boost the club’s ambitions on and off the pitch. 🏟️⚽

Council leader Rob Stewart shared that while a deal was once considered in 2018, the club’s recent push aligns with how football has evolved – think about how the series captured Wrexham’s rise! With plans to climb back to the Premier League, the club’s owners believe that full control over the stadium is key to creating an incredible fan experience and securing future investments.
The deal, which follows lengthy negotiations, also includes potential additional fees linked to promotions and perks for ticket and hospitality sales. With a new era on the horizon, Swansea City’s CEO Tom Gorringe called this a “highly significant moment,” paving the way for new opportunities and growth.
Just in time, too, as the Ospreys bid farewell to their long-time home and relocate to St Helen’s. So, what’s next for our Swans? With the first league game against Stoke on 15th August, all eyes are set on the future! Stay tuned for more updates, and let us know what you think this monumental change could mean for Swansea City! 🦢💬
