Sad news from Swansea: A 51-year-old woman, identified as Sian Patterson, tragically passed away at a friend’s house in the Bonymaen area. According to an inquest, Sian, who worked as a shop assistant, had spent the night at her friend’s home when she fell asleep around 11pm. Sadly, when she didn’t wake up the following morning, emergency services were called to the property on Chirk Gardens.
Ambulance crews arrived swiftly and administered CPR, but Sian was pronounced dead just after 7am. A post-mortem revealed she had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and toxic levels of drugs in her system. The inquest, held at Swansea Coroner’s Court, has been officially opened but adjourned until January 2027 for further investigation.
