Exciting transformation ahead in Narberth! The town’s old police station is set to embark on a completely new chapter as plans to convert it into a funeral directors have been given the green light. Earlier this year, Dyfed-Powys Police revealed they were moving their Narberth operations to a new spot shared with Mid and West Wales Fire Services. The Jesse Road site, no longer meeting modern needs, will soon serve a heartfelt purpose with W & MJ Rossiter & Sons Ltd moving in.
Starting off in 1949, this family-run business has outgrown its current Station Road home after two decades and seeks more parking, disabled access, and space. The former police site offers just that, enabling them to maintain their high service standards. Despite Narberth Town Council only finding out about the police station’s sale from the news, they are backing the new endeavour.
Chief Constable Dr Richard Lewis reassured locals that they’d continue receiving dedicated police services at the new base. Meanwhile, W & MJ Rossiter & Sons Ltd expressed their joy about staying in their beloved Narberth and warmly maintaining their bond with the community.
Stay tuned for more updates as Narberth breathes new life into this historic site, ready to adapt and thrive with the town’s ever-evolving needs. What are your thoughts on these changes? Let us know!
