🚨 Wales Rugby Fans! 🚨
The excitement is building as Steve Tandy names his first squad ahead of the autumn matches! 🏉 With Argentina just around the corner, the real question is: what’s the strongest Wales XV he can put together? 🤔
In the back-three, Blair Murray has been unbeatable in the 15 jersey, while Louis Rees-Zammit is back in action from the NFL and ready to light up the wing alongside Josh Adams. Midfield sees the dynamic duo of Ben Thomas and Max Llewellyn likely to bring their A-game against Argentina, although Joe Hawkins might have something to say about that! 😉
Welcome back to Nick Tompkins and a huge shout out to Louie Hennessey making his debut – a thrilling prospect for the autumn campaign! Jacob Beetham might shift to midfield once the English-based trio head back for club duties, keeping the competition fierce.
Fly-half Dan Edwards is holding onto that jersey, with Callum Sheedy also putting up a strong performance. Meanwhile, Tomos Williams stands firm as first-choice scrum-half, with Reuben Morgan-Williams possibly sneaking onto the bench.
In the pack, Nicky Smith, Dewi Lake, and Archie Griffin form a solid front row. Rhys Carre is back, having gone through PRB approvals, and Keiron Assiratti is poised as the backup tighthead. Second-row duo Adam Beard and Dafydd Jenkins are set to make waves, with options like Rhys Davies and James Fender ready to step in.
The back-row is looking powerful with Aaron Wainwright, Jac Morgan, and Taulupe Faletau – though don’t count out Alex Mann or Freddie Thomas just yet. Morgan Morse’s presence on the bench is also a possibility to watch!
