Hold onto your umbrellas, folks! After basking in glorious sunshine and record-breaking temps earlier this week, Wales is bracing for a major weather shift. Mona on Anglesey hit an impressive 24.8°C, but don’t get too used to that warmth—it’s about to get wild.

As the weekend approaches, expect a dramatic turn with heavy, thundery downpours and strong winds forecasted to sweep across the region. Friday will start dry but cloudy before rain travels eastward, bringing gusty winds as the day progresses. By night, prepare for another soaking with a heavy band of rain.
Saturday kicks off with more rain overnight, up to 16mm in just an hour in some areas, accompanied by blustery winds. Showers will continue throughout the morning, gradually becoming more scattered by the afternoon. Sadly, the rain isn’t done with us yet, as more showers are predicted to roll in from the west later.

Sunday looks no better with overnight rain persisting and showers popping up by morning, especially in the south. So, it seems we’re in for some proper British weather this weekend! Stay safe, stay dry, and maybe queue up a good movie or two.
Expect plenty of clouds with occasional sunny spells breaking through, but don’t be surprised if those sunny moments are cut short. And if you’re near the coast, brace for potential gales.
