Craig Bellamy: Staying with Wales or Heading to Celtic? 🏴⚽
The buzz is growing around Craig Bellamy’s future as Wales’ head coach, especially after recent rumours linking him to Celtic. Despite all the chatter, Bellamy is standing firm, calling his current role “the best job in the world”—and who can blame him?
After Wales faced disappointment missing out on the World Cup finals, Bellamy’s commitment remains as strong as ever. He’s gearing up for the Nations League and Euro 2028 qualifiers with enthusiasm. But with bookies shortening odds on him taking over at Celtic, speculation remains rife. 🕵️♂️
Owain Tudur Jones, a respected pundit, thinks Bellamy would be a dream fit at Parkhead, noting the massive fanbase and the rebuilding opportunity at Celtic as key attractions. Yet Bellamy isn’t swayed—his heart seems set on Wales, at least for now.
His dedication is palpable: “This is the best. Nothing compares to this. So why would I want to wish it away?” he passionately states. Yet the lure of managing a legendary club like Celtic could be tempting for anyone, especially with their recent struggles needing urgent attention.
Jones sums it up perfectly, suggesting Celtic would be “bonkers” not to pursue Bellamy. But the Wales faithful are certainly hoping he stays put. “Let’s tie him to the Vale Hotel and keep him in Cardiff,” Jones half-jokingly remarks.
Will Bellamy’s loyalty win out, or will the call of Celtic be too strong? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: Welsh football fans hold their breath as they await his decision. 🤞
